This is not the first time Joseph Kahn has made controversial statements surrounding Taylor’s “LWYMMD” MV.

In response to opinions that Taylor Swift imitated Beyoncé by wearing a black crop top in the MV “Look What You Made Me Do”, director Joseph Kahn responded in a recent interview:

“This video doesn’t look like ‘Formation’ (by Beyoncé) at all. They tried to say that she (Taylor) was wearing a black crop top and Beyoncé was also wearing a black crop top. But they didn’t realize that in MV “Bad Blood” in 2015, Taylor Swift wore a black crop top. I really think it was Beyoncé who imitated “Bad Blood”.

Joseph Kahn is a famous director who has collaborated with Taylor Swift on many of her MVs: “Blank Space”, “Bad Blood”, “Wildest Dreams”, “Out Of The Woods” and most recently “Look What You Made Me Do”

This is not the first time Joseph Kahn has made controversial statements surrounding the MV “LWYMMD”. Previously, this Korean-born director also tweeted a post that was said to be intentionally mocking 2NE1.
