Beyonce is one of the most promising musicians for many years. Her journey from Destiny’s Child to being Queen B has inspired many other musicians around the world.

Beyonce is not just an incredible singer but she is also very good behind the camera. She has previously worked in movies like Obsessed which was released in 2009, Austin Powers in Goldmember 

in 2002, and Cadillac Records which hit the big screens in 2008.

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star is Born

As per reports, the makers of the movie A Star Is Born which was released in 2018 wanted to cast Beyonce and Will Smith. Reportedly the actor rejected the offer to play the lead in the movie opposite the Men in Black actor.

There were numerous names linked to the movie A Star Is Born before the makers decided to cast Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper for the lead roles. From Jennifer Lopez to Mariah Carey to Lauryn Hill many renowned female celebrities were being considered for the movie.

As per reports, Beyonce and Will Smith were the maker’s first preference for the lead roles in the movie. The makers also believed that this duo can ignite excitement for the film as they both had a massive fan following. Unfortunately, Beyonce and Smith’s work schedules and timings didn’t work out and Beyonce rejected the movie also because she got pregnant. The Men in Black actor was always recommended for the male lead for a very long time and as the makers thought Beyonce will look good with Smith on screen they tried to bring this pair on screen.

Much before Lady Gaga became the leading lady and Cooper became the lead male face of the movie A Star Is Born, Clint Eastwood and Beyonce were going to play Jack and Ally. The Director of the movie Cooper wasn’t always the first choice for playing the lead Bill Gerber the producer of the movie spoke about it. While talking about why they couldn’t star Beyonce and Eastwood in the movie during an interview, Gerber said,

“There was a moment where that was the best version of the movie and then all of a sudden, Beyonce got pregnant. Do we wait? She was amazing about all this stuff. She always understood if we were going to take a different direction. And then Clint went off and did another movie.”

He further added,

“I’m sitting there thinking, ‘I’m watching something historic about to happen,’ and then it didn’t. It’s just the movie business.”

Cooper stepped forward when the film’s producers were having trouble selecting who would play the male lead. The movie became a massive hit after it hit the screens on 12 October 2018.
